VP of People | High Growth Tech Start Up | London
Harmonic are delighted to be partnering on a retained basis with one of the UK's most exciting, A.I. companies in their search for their first VP of People to sit alongside the senior board and help to help align the people and culture strategy with the long-term goals of the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a revolutionary company, guiding them through their next stage of development.
Having been founded only 6 years ago the business has effectively disrupted its market, going on to firmly establish itself within the A.I sector. Following their £25M Series A this will underpin their next phase of development surrounding international expansion and growth. Having already successfully grown their revenue and increasing their headcount reaching 60, they are now looking for an experienced VP of People to build upon this foundation and drive organic growth further.
Centred around their core values the business has cultivated a brilliant culture focusing on communication and collaboration, supported by their non-corporate, dynamic approach to work. This has been strengthened by their flexible approach to a hybrid working structure (2-3 days in the office).
As the VP of People, you will be partnering with the senior leadership team on setting a strong people strategy going forward, with an emphasis on identifying key areas of growth from an international perspective.
Role and Responsibilities:
- You will predominantly work on building a collaborative, open and dynamic culture as the business scales
- You will help build out an HR function that can help to scale the business as it grows
- Sitting alongside the senior board, you will ensure the people strategy aligns with the long term goals of the business
- You will help build on the amazing company culture, ensuring all employees are proud to be a part of the business
- You will help implement learning and development initiatives, other training sessions, as well as supporting on other projects (i.e. D&I initiatives)
- You will oversee the whole employee life cycle, ensuring an excellent employee experience - this incorporates employee engagement, performance management, and talent management
What we need to see (essential):
- A proven history of building out a people function in a scaling business (50-100+)
- A strategic understanding in delivering on a people agenda
- Ambition, confidence, and an urge to work for a fast-growth company
- The ability to inspire others, and to ensure the people function is approachable and open
Salary and Benefits:
£100,000 - 140,000 (dependent on experience) + Share options
4.5 day working week
