  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and make trade-offs, as well as balance business needs versus constraints
  • Lead the gap analysis between their commercial "top-down" budget with their "bottom-up" SKU level forecasts, working cross-functionally to determine the best sales projections for their products
  • Standardise the process for reporting information in S&OP, ensuring that the right level of information is available to the right audience at the right time.
  • Help define their future approach to supplier relationship management, improving their ways of working with their operational partners to improve efficiency and flexibility (e.g. reducing order to delivery lead times)
  • Focus on continuous improvement across the Supply Chain, ranging from improving their product stratification management through to identifying means to improve forecast accuracy for both new and existing product lines
  • Support on Improving their Supply Chain resilience on an ongoing basis through assessment of their procurement model, safety stocks, and other levers to ensure they can whether any future supply chain disruption as effectively as possible

What our client would like to see:

  • Strong understanding of data and metrics. The ideal candidate will have advanced Excels skills
  • Evidence of continuous improvement across the S&OP process
  • End-to-end supply chain experience
  • Experience with large UK grocery retailers such as supplying products into Sainsburys, Tesco, Waitrose, Morrisons, Asda or Ocado
  • Omnichannel supply chain experience
