This is an environment well suited to someone who enjoys building structure, taking ownership, and working closely with creative, commercial, and operational teams to deliver high-quality work at pace - while maintaining a calm, considered, and solutions-driven approach.
The Role
We're seeking a highly organised and proactive Production Manager to act as the operational backbone of the creative production function. This is a pivotal role overseeing end-to-end production across studio and location shoots, ensuring projects are delivered smoothly, on time, and within budget.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a deep understanding of production workflows, and be confident managing multiple stakeholders, schedules, and priorities simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of photography and video productions across studio and on-location environments.
- Lead production planning from brief through to delivery, ensuring timelines are realistic, clearly structured, and well communicated.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing campaign work, product launches, and always-on content requirements.
- Oversee production budgets, ensuring costs are tracked, forecast accurately, and kept within agreed parameters.
- Brief, appoint, and manage freelance crews, creative partners, and suppliers, building strong long-term relationships.
- Coordinate all production logistics, including sample movement, props, set build elements, travel, and on-site requirements.
- Act as a key point of contact between creative, commercial, and operational teams to ensure smooth delivery of assets.
- Review and refine production processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability as output grows.
- Provide guidance and leadership to a small team, supporting workload planning, development, and day-to-day needs.
What the Client Would Like to See (Essential)
- Demonstrable experience in a Production Manager or senior production role within a creative, retail, or lifestyle-led business.
- Strong operational understanding of both studio-based and location shoots, with the ability to manage complexity and change.
- Proven experience building production schedules and managing interdependent deadlines.
- Confidence managing budgets, negotiating with external partners, and overseeing supplier agreements.
- A calm, organised, and solutions-focused approach, particularly when working under pressure or tight deadlines.
- Experience collaborating with a wide range of creative stakeholders across photography, film, and content production.
- Understanding of how content is delivered across multiple channels, including ecommerce, campaigns, and digital platforms.
- Previous people management experience, with the ability to support, guide, and motivate a small team.
- Strong working knowledge of standard office systems and production tools, with experience using asset management platforms.
What We'd Like to See (Bonus)
- Experience working within home, interiors, or design-led lifestyle sectors.
- A good eye for visual detail, with an understanding of styling, set builds, and lifestyle environments.
- Experience helping to evolve production workflows within a growing or fast-moving organisation.
- Someone who enjoys being hands-on while also contributing to longer-term operational improvements.
