Operations Manager | Health & Wellness Brand | North West London
Harmonic are proud to be working on an exclusive basis with one of London's fastest growing Health and Wellness brand on the hire of an Operations Manager to join the team. Our client is a leading supplier of ethical and natural body care products and have been in the industry now for more than 20 years. This role will support on seeing products meet regulatory and compliance thresholds ensuring that products find their way seamlessly from source to supplier. This includes big name brands such as Ocado, Morrisons, Holland & Barret and Sainsburys just to name a few.
The team is close-knit and the culture of the business is both creative and inclusive. Due to the nature of the role, it is based on site in their Northwest London offices which have parking space and there is scope to work from home (WFH).
Responsibilities:
This role will oversee the smooth running of the regulatory and compliance side of the imports/exports that our client works with as well as overseeing the logistics functions and processes. Reporting into the CEO, MD & GM the key duties are:
- Working closely with trade customers to collaborate on sales expectations. Ensuring that the order requirements are met and that any issues that arise are escalated swiftly.
- Management of the end-to-end import/export procedures. Ensuring that all PAOA and Organic shipments to the UK and Ireland warehouses are compliant.
- Working closely with clearing agents and freight forwarders to ensure that VAT/Duties/Commodity/revenues are submitted accordingly
- Managing the end-to-end import/export process of any new goods requiring classification. Working with external consultants to raise new case study for the category of goods intended for import. Devising comprehensive new instructions based on the correct UK/EU import procedures learned, to ensure a smooth operation of future goods forecasted for distribution.
- Owning UK/EU product legislations for cosmetics and food supplements, inclusive of updating guidelines and customer practices in all countries that the company is exporting to/importing from.
- Managing Retailer supplier portals for NPD enlisting, raising ASNs, repackaging submissions or complaints resolution auditing (Holland & Barret, Ocado, Tesco and Sainsburys).
- Complete internal audits/license renewals for products
Nice to have (bonus):
- A background in Health & Wellness / FMCG / Cosmetics / Consumer goods would be beneficial.
- Experience in dealing with similar retailers like Sainsburys or Holland & Barret's would be beneficial.
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
