Harmonic Operations are delighted to be recruiting for an exciting new role within an ambitious independent agency. This opportunity would allow you to become part of a global and award-winning team. This company do not conform to the usual conventions but constantly strive to make their client brands memorable and distinct. The agency is continuing to grow due to consistent business with existing clients, winning new clients and further expansion into their international remits. Because of the company's great future potential our client has seen the need to have a permanent business director dedicated to these new opportunities.
The Role:
As the New Business Director, you will be leading the commercial team whilst working in collaboration with the Board, client service, creative and strategy teams. It will also be essential in the role to manage key external partners and act as ambassador for the company. The opportunity has arisen to support the agencies growth ambitions. The essence of the role is to create new business opportunities then secure and convert them to drive growth and reputation. In the future this person would progress to take on more commercial responsibilities as a part of the leadership team
Responsibilities:
- Leading and supporting other team members on new business pitches and responses to these
- Devising the business strategy and executing these plans
- Build contacts with prospective clients
- Selling propositions that enable future growth opportunities
- Manage and proactively seek new business relationships
- Maintaining relevant contact with prospective clients using databases to organise this
- Work on organic growth within agency
- Manage all inbound requests from future clients
- Coaching other teams and colleagues to consistently develop company profile
What we need to see (essential):
- 8+ years new business experience within an integrated creative agency, media agency, or another other new business agency environment
- Proven experience in creating new business opportunities
- Ability to lead winning pitches
- Able to mitigate and address client problems
- Experience coaching and developing others
- Persuasive written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional presenter
- Strong understanding of the marketing and creative industry world
- An entrepreneurial and innovative mindset
What we'd like to see (non-essential):
- Experience in building teams and client base virtually
Location: Northwest London (Mixture of remote and in-office work).
Salary: £60,000 - 80,000 (depending on experience) plus OTE
