Immediate Start Finance Manager | Innovative Biotechnology Business | London (hybrid) | 9-month FTC

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a fast growth listed Biotech start-up in their search for an immediately available Finance Manager to join their growing team on a 9-month fixed term contract. Due to the urgency of the role, only immediately available candidates will be considered.

This business has a fantastic number of research programmes in the pipeline and have recently received a large multimillion pound investment. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a unique and ambitious business, who are at the forefront of immunotherapy and pharmaceutical research looking to solve some of humanities most prominent health problems.

They are a close-knit, friendly team with a warm, welcoming culture; having recently moved to an incredible new space in central London.

The role:

Working alongside an extremely experienced Finance Director, you will be responsible for owning the technical finance function and assisting on commercially focused financial reporting. You will need to be happy to work autonomously and get stuck-in immediately.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and coordination of all accounting operational functions across UK & US
• Overseeing regulatory reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Monthly management accounts
• Cash flow forecasting and budgeting
• Integration and constant improvement of the new accounting system
• Working with the CFO on company listing opportunities within other markets
• Manage the more junior members of the finance team

Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant
• Experience working for a fast growth start up
• Strong financial accounting experience
• Be immediately available
• Ambitious and 'understands' the 'chaos' that life in a start-up involves!

Bonus skills:

• Experience with Sage Intacct
• Prior experience working for a Biotech start up
• Experience with SOX or US listed business

Salary: £55,000-£65,000 (pro rata to 9-month FTC)
