Harmonic Operations are thrilled to be recruiting for an exciting Business Director role with one of the UK's most inspiring independent agencies. Their expanding team 30-strong team works with progressive brands such as Glenfiddich, Hendrick's Gin, Discarded, Haagen-Dazs, Nature Valley, OId El Paso, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Gold & Green, Wimbledon and Polestar. This company is a continues to grow and is well placed for future given the businesses ability to win more business with existing clients, win new clients and extend into international markets. With many exciting client campaigns and new business conversations in the pipeline and ambitious growth plans for the agency this is an exciting time to be joining the team.
The Role:
The primary role of the Director of Brand Marketing is to lead the brand marketing department and oversee all brand marketing activities. In this position, the Director of Brand Marketing defines the departmental vision and instils it in all levels of the brand marketing department to make up part of the working culture. The Director of Brand Marketing oversees the brand planning process inclusive of the definition of target consumers and the development of marketing mix and strategies on consumer brand-interaction in order to encourage increased purchase.
Responsibilities:
- Developing a long-term plan that sets the future ambition and direction of what the brand experience is offering.
- Delivering exceptional brand experience campaigns for existing clients within agreed financial parameters.
- Extending the brand experience remit within existing clients proactively securing new projects in collaboration with client services team.
- Raising the reputation of the company as a progressive and creative business across all media / social channels ensuring all collateral is up to date and fit for purpose.
- Coaching and developing existing brand experience talent to higher levels of performance and making appropriate hires to strengthen the team and ensure project delivery.
What we need to see (Essential):
- 10+ years' experience as working with progressive brand experience businesses.
- A proven track record of success and adding value to clients and agencies.
- A passion about brand experience and the role it plays in brand communications.
- Extensive experience running distinctive / award-winning brand experience campaigns preferably in food and drink.
- Exposure across all brand experience types brand-owned events, festival activations, virtual events, sampling, and on/off trade activations.
- Proven ability selling brand experience solutions and leading successful brand experience pitches.
- Well-versed and connected in all aspects of brand experience delivery (production, staffing, venues, tech partners, health and safety, insurance, council regs etc.)
- Ability and willingness to become the external voice of brand experience through PR, thought leadership and speaker events.
- Strong leadership skills with outstanding general management.
- Gravitas and charisma necessary to develop strong relationships / command client and agency respect.
- Exceptional oral and written presentation skills.
What we'd like to see (non-Essential):
- Experience in building and working with virtual teams.
Location: Northwest London (Mixture of remote and in-office work).
Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 (depending on experience)
