Harmonic are proud to be working with a leading craft brewery based in NYC that are looking for an Accountant to join their team.

The role

You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments. This vital role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

You will play a crucial part in maintaining strong relationships with our vendors and ensuring that our financial processes are efficient and in compliance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, verifying appropriate approvals, coding, and adherence to company policies.
  • Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation, including vendor information, invoices, and payment details.
  • Assist in the month-end close process by preparing accruals and reconciling accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including purchasing, receiving, and accounting, to resolve any invoicing or payment issues.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounts payable processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations related to accounts payable to ensure compliance and optimize processes.

Essential Skills:

  • Degree in Accounting / Finance or similar
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Experience in manufacturing or product-based business
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable
  • Good knowledge of GAAP

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in the food and beverage or brewing industry

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000
