Account Director (Full-Time Hybrid) | Award-winning PR Agency | Manchester
The Client:
Harmonics are thrilled to be working with one of UK's most exciting award-winning PR agencies, with their search for a new Account Director. This is an agency that works tirelessly to manage global campaigns for their 70+ client roster, including some of the worlds most renowned technology and corporate brands such as Facebook.
This agency operates with an engaging, fast-paced culture where no two days are the same. They continue to go from strength to strength as they drive international awareness, sales, and reputations for their clients. Due to the excellent work of the team so far and new business wins, they're looking for an enthusiastic and committed Account Director to support the strategic direction and oversee the execution of a handful of their largest accounts.
Role:
As the Account Director you'll be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the PR activity for a number of the agency's largest clients to drive the success of campaigns. You'll play an active role in ensuring campaigns are delivered against plans, budgets and KPIs. In addition to working alongside the senior management team, you will also be helping junior members to refine their skills, ensuring understanding of the client brief in order to implement the agreed strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the strategic direction across a range of the agency's accounts.
- Manage and mentor a team of junior PR professionals to support with content proofreading, and campaign accountability.
- Support with the agency's new business activity including taking part in pitches.
- Be a key point of contact for clients and managing their needs.
- Contribute to daily meetings and update clients on PR activities.
- Keep up with current PR trends and tools.
- Build and nurture client relationships.
- Maintain a network of media contacts and industry spokespeople.
- Developing news angles, stories, and pitches to further the client's products, services, and media profile.
- Ensuring the client's key performance indicators are being fulfilled.
- Managing and mentoring junior members of staff.
- Help grow retained accounts.
What we need to see (Essential):
- 5+ years of B2B tech PR agency experience.
- Experience in managing staff and be confident in leading a team.
- First-class writing skills and the ability to proof-read various pieces of content to a high standard.
- A confident communicator both written and verbally.
- The ability to work as part of a tight-knit team.
- Ability to take a client's brief to develop and deliver an impactful campaign alongside the management team

Location:
- Manchester Media City (3 Days in Office).
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 (depending on experience).
